Ravebo's Innovative Odor Reduction Solutions
Ravebo designs, manufactures, and installs and commissions tailor-made stainless steel wet gas scrubber systems for odor reduction. These scrubbers are individually designed, configured, and manufactured according to the determined specifications. Ravebo employs certified welders in their own workshop to ensure the quality of the design and manufacturing process. The scrubber systems operate using circulating closed loop pump systems, which consist of two-stage open spray systems. The first scrubber includes an integrated buffer tank, removable flanged pipes with spray nozzles, and an acidic oxidizing dosing system. Similarly, the second scrubber also features an integrated buffer tank, removable flanged pipes with spray nozzles, and an alkaline dosing system.
Advanced Design and Operational Efficiency of Wet Gas Scrubbers
This particular wet gas scrubbers’ function by utilizing a closed loop pump system, where the washing liquid is pumped from the integrated buffer. In order to ensure a thorough spraying process, the scrubber system is equipped with multiple fully removable spray lances arranged in layers. These spray lances consist of spray nozzles, some of which are mounted in the same direction as the gas flow, while others are mounted in the opposite direction. The precise positioning of these spray nozzles within the scrubber is crucial for effectively treating the gas, as it allows for complete contact between the washing fluid and the process gas, effectively capturing particles. The tangential nozzles, designed to prevent clogging, produce fine droplets with a consistent spray pattern to maximize the capture of dust and gas particles. By ensuring optimal absorption, a significant reduction in pollutant particles and gases can be achieved. The design of the scrubber system ensures that the spray nozzles, with their high combined flow rate, simultaneously clean the interior of the washing section. The overlapping spray pattern created by the positioning of the spray nozzles results in an extremely efficient cleaning system. This means that the contaminated gases cannot pass through the spray section without being absorbed. As a result, the need for packing, which would increase pressure loss, is eliminated, leading to a remarkably low and consistent pressure loss. This type of scrubber is particularly suitable for handling irregular concentrations or peak discharges, while the liquid to gas ratio is not as critical as in packed bed scrubbers.
Scrubber control
The control cabinet of the installation is equipped with the electrical components for the control of the scrubbers, also making it potentially suitable for outdoor installation. Ravebo is responsible for the programming of the Siemens S7-1500 PLC, which is used to control the entire installation. The PLC is programmed to function independently based on the provided functional description. The HMI on the control cabinet is used to display the current status of the installation as the default setting.
Remote support
The scrubber installation is specifically tailored and as a result, it is possible that the scrubber may not immediately achieve its maximum separation efficiency. In order to address this, the scrubber will may need to undergo adjustments for a few weeks. Following the completion of the installation, Ravebo will require the ability to remotely monitor the system for potential fine-tuning of the software and/or to provide remote assistance. For this purpose, a module is included in the control cabinet. This module can be connected to the customer's network either through a network cable or a stable WiFi connection. The customer only needs to ensure that the necessary facilities are in place to allow Ravebo access to the installation via the customer network.
